Capacity Building
Fostering human resources to build and nurture social units that will act as catalysts of change.

Social sector interventions must aim to bridge the gap between, ‘the need’ and ‘availability’ of resources. Capacity building is the process of training, strengthening and optimizing these available resources in order to amplify their impact, in terms of scale and depth. Work under Capacity Building can range from nurturing existing ecosystem stakeholders to introducing third-party, NGO or intervening professionals that are essential for development. Supporting capacity building of social sector resources have proven to be short term investments that yield long term value. Programs cannot be exclusively categorised as ‘capacity building’. They often overlap with other interventions in their area of work and are an important component of any intervention in the social sector.
